We would not be able to put on the 12th Annual Fortem Financial Thanksgiving Day 5K Benefiting Martha's Village & Kitchen without the help of our wonderful volunteers--and that means YOU! Volunteers provide key support to the thousands of participants as they walk, run or stroll on Thanksgiving morning. No experience is required. Have fun and help those in need all at the same time! 100% of our net proceeds support impoverished and homeless community members.
We have a variety of exciting positions available (scroll down to see the list of positions and their shift times). There is a job for everyone, including individuals, team school groups, corporate groups, friends and family! This year, you can choose where you want to volunteer in advance!

Help guests to obtain first aid supplies or ice packs if needed. Does NOT administer medical care.
Setup/breakdown, pour beer, check off race bibs.
Face paint and supplies provided to paint kids' faces in the event Kids Zone.
Keep juice and snacks for participants stocked.
Distribute medals to age category winners.
Setup and hand out dog treat goody bags, keep water bowls filled.

Oversee props for photo booth, offer to snap photos for guests.
Take photos of the event with your own digital camera on a memory card checked out to you at the start of your shift. We would love to have you stay for as long as you desire! We will be in touch with you before the 5K.
Be a key player in keeping the excitement and momentum going on the 5K course. Duties include cheering, smiling, giving out high-fives, sign-holding — anything to bring out a smile on our runners faces! Standing for long periods of time is required — festive attire and jumping with joy is encouraged!
